| Shees Mahal (Jaipur, Rajasthan) as it is popularly called is located within the Amber Palace in Amber Fort, Jaipur. It is also called Shri Niwas or the the Hall of Victory. Amber fort was the ancient capital of Rajasthan till 1728. Shees Mahal's walls and ceilings are coated with coloured glass inlay, floral designs in gilt and it has elaborate stucco patterns on its pillars and ceiling. This is indeed a beautiful structure and probably the best place in Amber Palace. |
